In the south of Bastimentos Island, in front of a beautiful beach, we go through an entrance into the mangroves. After about 5 minutes inside the canals, we reach the Ngöbe village of Salt Creek. We visit the town with a local guide who explains their customs and way of life.

 

You can choose between 4 different trails to discover the local fauna and flora with the guide:

 

• Caiman route                   : Duration : 1H

• Pelican route                   : Duration :  2H30

                                                    Type       :  Jungle, Pelican beach 

 

• Playa Larga route.          : Duration :  6H

                                                    Type        :  Jungle, vantage point, beach 

 

• Cave route                        : Duration  :  4H30 - 5H

                                                    Type        :  Jungle, cave​

Depending on the route you choose, you can then enjoy the beautiful beaches around the village.
